Our mission is to improve world population health and minimise health disparities through a variety of safe and high-efficacy preventive and therapeutic vaccines.

We have successfully achieved multiple collaborations with both private and public organisations for vaccine supplies to national immunisation programmes, allowing the public to receive vaccinations at no personal expenses.

We will persevere in developing vaccines to challenge the fast-evolving pathogens.

Sun Biotech is founded and led by Mr Hyun Soo KIM, a veteran of more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry.

During his stints in various pharmaceutical companies in Korea as top management, he accumulated considerable experience with numerous distinguished achievements in his career. This includes being a pioneer in identifying the potential of Chinese biological products for international market and re-developing the Live Japanese Encephalitis (JE) vaccine which became the first WHO PQ vaccine for China. He has also successfully replaced Mouse brain-derived JE vaccine with new generation Vero cell-derived JE vaccine in the Korean National Immunization Program.
Mr Kim is well recognised in the vaccine industry and was nominated as “Best CEO of the year” in the APAC Excellence Awards 2022. He hopes that public health advancement can be continued through Sun Biotech, a company he started from scratch.
